Raese, Manchin Tied in New Poll

A new CNN/Time poll shows West Virginia senate candidates John Raese and Joe Manchin tied at 44 percent among likely voters. Among registered voters, Manchin had a 7-point lead, 45 percent to 38 percent.

Thirty-two percent of likely voters approved of President Obama, while 63 percent disapproved. The senate race has been impacted by voters’ concerns over whether the popular Manchin, a Democrat, would support the unpopular president’s policies in the Senate.

The RealClearPolitics poll average now has the race tied.
