RGA Hauls in $31 million in Q3

Executive Director Nick Ayers announced via Twitter this afternoon that the RGA raised $31 million in the third quarter of 2010 (July-September), besting its second quarter results by more than $12 million. “No foreign money,” he added, a swipe at accusations from Democrats and their allies that foreign funds are funding Republican candidates this cycle.

Ayers wrote that in “17 states we have spent more than 1 million dollars. In 9 states we have spent more than 3 million. 6 states more than 5 million.” The RGA has now raised almost $60 million for the year and still has $32 million cash on hand heading into Election Day.

The DGA announced last week it had raised $10 million for the quarter, totaling $27 million for the year, and leaving it with $13 million in the bank. It was the Democrats’ best quarter yet, as they have been consistently outraised by their Republican counterpart.
