Palin Campaigns for Raese

Headlining a rally for Republican senate candidate John Raese in West Virginia, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin emphasized that Democrat Gov. Joe Manchin would be a typical Democrat if elected to the senate.

“John’s opponent, let’s call him the ‘would-be Senator Rubber Stamp,’this opponent is trying to say now, ‘Barack who? Never heard of him? Wasn’t me?’” charged Palin, according to ABC News, adding that Manchin would “be expected to fall in line.”

Palin also reiterated her mamma grizzly theme, talking about mountain mamas in West Virginia.  And, in a nod to Manchin’s nearly 70 percent approval ratings in the state,  Palin called Manchin a “nice guy.”

“It’s nothing personal. I like your governor. I’ve worked with him before.  …  He’s such a nice governor I think that Manchin in the mansion just kind of fits, to keep him there,” she commented.

Rocker Ted Nugent was also at the rally. Speaking about how close Election Day is, Nugent told attendees that “it’s time to kick maximum ass.”

Tomorrow former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will hit the campaign trail with Raese, while former president Bill Clinton will stump for Manchin.
