Nassour Endorses Anuzis

Jennifer Nassour, chairwoman of the Massachusetts Republican party, has endorsed Saul Anuzis for chairman of the Republican National Committee. “Saul has demonstrated the skills, commitment and energy needed to lead us through the 2012 cycle,” Nassour says in a statement to the press. “I’m proud to stand with him as we move forward.”

Anuzis also has announced that he has filed the necessary petitions with the legal counsel’s office to qualify for the chairmanship. Nassour’s backing brings Anuzis’s total to 15 publicly declared supporters, but he still needs two thirds of one more state delegation to be eligible. Yesterday, RNC Watch got word that he had enough votes, even if they weren’t all public. Stay tuned.
