From the New Jersey Star-Ledger:
Gov. Chris Christie, who gained national attention for feuding with the teacher’s union last year, said he supports Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is making headlines with his own public employee battle.
“Gov. Walker was elected by the people of Wisconsin,” Christie said. “I know him and I trust him and I support him.” …
Christie wouldn’t comment on the specifics of Walker’s proposals, like if he would support eliminating collective bargaining, but said he understands the difficulty of balancing a budget in difficult fiscal times.
“I support Gov. Walker’s strong action to balance his budget,” Christie said. “I’m not going to micromanage Wisconsin from New Jersey.”
