New Poll: Majority Oppose Limiting Collective Bargaining

Sixty-one percent of Americans oppose strictly limiting collective bargaining rights, according to a new USA Today/Gallup poll.

A third of Americans back restricting public union members’ bargaining abilities. The poll also found that 53 percent are against cutting government employees’ salaries and benefits.

But Americans don’t want to pay more taxes to help fund those salaries either: 71 percent oppose any new sale or income taxes.
