Updates

1. Sporadic clashes overnight between pro-Mubarak and anti-Mubarak protesters, leaving three dead.

2. State department urgently encouraging all U.S. citizens to leave the country, and providing them with means to do so.

3. Lots of speculation about how the pro-Mubarak demonstrations may have been “ginned up.” CNN reports that the regime managed to send a mass text message encouraging people to protest in their favor; others report that the pro-Mubaraks were bused in to Cairo.

4. Day is just now breaking in Cairo. Today could be big, but the really big day will be Friday — another, even greater day of rage is planned to follow Friday prayers.
