NATO Accidentally Strikes Rebels

From the New York Times:

For the second time in less than a week, rebel fighters say NATO warplanes mistakenly attacked their forces, killing at least five and wounding at least 16, as troops loyal to Col.Muammar el-Qaddafi pushed eastward to the gates of this strategic city.

Dr. Ezzidin al-Farsi, a doctor in the hospital here, confirmed the deaths and said that most of the staff along with thousands of residents had abandoned the city in a panicked retreat in the afternoon as the fighting approached. Rebel fighters fired rockets from within the city, and there were reports of incoming fire at the city’s western gate.
