Obama on Romneycare: ‘Great Idea’

President Obama lavishly praised Massachusetts’s health care program in two fundraisers in Boston last night, reports Politico.

“With a little assist from the former governor of Massachusetts, we said that health care should no longer be a privilege in this country,” Obama said at the night’s first fundraiser. “It should be affordable and available for every American. We said that in the United States of America, just like here in Massachusetts, you should never go broke because you get sick.”

At the second fundraiser, Obama referred to Romneycare as a “great idea.”
