Palin Launching Bus Tour

Sarah Palin is embarking on a bus tour of the Northeast United States starting Sunday. The first stop will be in Washington, D.C.

According to her site, the stops will be “historical sites that were key to the formation, survival, and growth of the United States of America.”

Sounds like Palin –  who is second only to Mitt Romney among Republicans, according to Gallup poll out today – is exploring a presidential run.

UPDATE: Palin has written a note to detail why she’s going on the bus tour. (Hint: there’s no ‘by the way, I’m running for president’ line.)

“We’ll celebrate the good things that bring Americans together; those things that will give us the needed strength to meet the heady challenges ahead,” Palin writes. “I’ve said many times that America doesn’t need a ‘fundamental transformation,’ instead we need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free in America! So, together let’s prepare ourselves for the days ahead by reminding ourselves who we are and what Americans stand for.”
