Romney Praises Obama Again for Bin Laden’s Death

Mitt Romney again congratulated President Obama today for his role in the death of Osama bin Laden. Romney made the remarks when speaking to reporters in New Hampshire, after talking to small business owners.

“I think the president deserves credit for approving a relatively high risk entry into the country with helicopters and special operations personnel,” Romney said, remarking that “the bad guy took one in the eye.”

Romney called bin Laden’s death “an enormous success.”

“I don’t know whether it help or hurts politically the president, but I really don’t care,” said Romney. “The right thing is we got the bad guy, and the nation celebrates that. We’re all Americans. This is not a Republican or Democratic thing. This is an American thing.”

But Romney also showed that he’s not cowed by Obama’s success in killing bin Laden. Asked if he thought Obama was now unbeatable, Romney laughed.

“I don’t think so,” he said.
