New Poll: Romney Rising

Is Mitt Romney surging ahead?

A new WSJ/NBC News poll suggests so, with 30 percent of GOP primary voters saying they would vote for Mitt Romney. That’s up from the 21 percent Romney nabbed in April (when Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump were second and third in the poll).

Sarah Palin came in a distant second, with 14 percent backing. Herman Cain came in third with 12 percent.

In the single digit tier,  Rick Perry leads with 8 percent.  He’s followed by Ron Paul (7 percent), Newt Gingrich (6 percent), Tim Pawlenty (4 percent), Rick Santorum (4 percent), Michele Bachmann (3 percent), and Jon Huntsman (1 percent).
