Sarah Palin said it’s merely “coincidental” that her bus tour lands in New Hampshire today in time for an evening clambake, the same day picked by Mitt Romney to announce his candidacy in the Granite State.
Palin confirmed that she had spoken to Roger Ailes at Fox News yesterday, but offered few specifics, beyond saying that she hadn’t offered to resign and that she and Ailes always had “great conversations,” about the content of the 90-minute meeting.
On today’s itinerary is a tour of Boston’s Freedom Trail. Palin plans to pass out copies of the Constitution. “Hopefully, we will see kids on field trips again, and we will get them to read those Constitutions and really absorb what’s in there,” she said.
