Paul Raises $1.1 Million (So Far) in Money Bomb

Ron Paul launched a money bomb yesterday, aiming to motivate donors by taking several swipes at “establishment candidate” Mitt Romney. The theme of the drive is “The Revolution vs. Romneycare.”

“Honestly, we don’t need 10 million dollars to match Mitt Romney,” the Paul campaign writes, a reference to Romney’s $10 million plus fundraising haul one day last month. “After all, Congressman Paul doesn’t have to defend a liberal record as governor of Massachusetts! He doesn’t have to defend passing a bill just as bad as ObamaCare or justify conflicting position statements. Mitt Romney does. So it’s ok if he has a bit more money than we do. He’s going to need it!”

As of around 6:30 p.m. ET, Paul’s website is reporting that the money bomb has raised $1.1 million dollars.
