A new poll from Public Policy Polling of GOP primary voters has Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney tied for first (16 percent). Pawlenty’s in second place (13 percent) — a big jump from the 5 percent he was at two weeks ago. Right behind Pawlenty is Herman Cain (12 percent).
In the single digit crowd, Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul all have 9 percent support. Jon Huntsman is at 4 percent.
PPP also looked at the favorable/unfavorable ratings for Romney, Palin, and Gingrich. Gingrich has the highest unfavorables at 44 percent. Palin and Romney are tied (30 percent). Palin’s favorability rating (61 percent) is higher than Romney’s (54 percent.)
