Today the TheTeaParty.net hosted a twitter debate moderated by S.E. Cupp that included Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Gary Johnson, Thad McCotter, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich.

The only tweet that surprised me was when Bachmann seemed to insinuate that she would support an income tax on low-income Americans, tweeting, “.@140townhall I am. Simple. Fair. Flat. Everyone should pay something.” in response to “For you @TeamBachmann from @LJordan. Why isn’t anyone talking about the 47% of Americans that don’t pay taxes? @140Townhall”. Her campaign did not immediately respond to a request for clarification.
