A California GOP assemblyman who endorsed Mitt Romney last week signed a petition urging Rick Perry to run this week, reports the Los Angeles Times. He was joined by 20 other lawmakers and former elected officials from California, who wrote to Perry that he possessed the “serious, experienced and principled leadership to create jobs, control spending and rebuild the economy” that they wanted to see in a GOP nominee.
