Romney Remains Leader in N.H., Bachmann Gaining

Mitt Romney leads the next closest GOP candidate, Michele Bachmann, by over 20 points in New Hampshire, according to a new WMUR poll.

Even so, Bachmann’s 9 point jump from her 3 percent showing in the last poll makes her the only other Republican to be in the double-digit tier with Romney (35 percent to Bachmann’s 12 percent).

Ron Paul and Rudy Giuliani tied for third, each capturing 7 percent support. Rick Perry is at 4 percent. Tim Pawlenty and Sarah Palin are tied at 3 percent, while Jon Huntsman and Herman Cain are tied at 2 percent. The remaining candidates — Newt Gingrich, Gary Johnson, Rick Santorum, and Buddy Roemer — are 1 percent or less.
