Cain, Man of the People

In this new video, the Cain campaign emphasizes Herman Cain’s non-political background.

“He understands what we need to do to get to the next level,” says Kent Short, a butcher in Santa Paula, Calif. “These politicians that spend their time at Columbia and Harvard, reading newspaper and reading term papers, all they do is speak well. They’ve never experienced it. Herman Cain has experienced it. He’s just a common sense guy that’s for the people, not for big government.”

Short praises Cain for not answering a question because he didn’t know all the facts.

“That’s what we’re doing wrong. People were giving answers without facts. As soon as I heard him say that [he wouldn’t answer], I said ‘this is the only guy who has any sense in the whole thing,’” Short recounts.
