O’Donnell’s Appearance at Palin Event Cancelled

Christine O’Donnell’s appearance at a Tea Party rally in Indianola, Iowa September 3 that Sarah Palin is scheduled to keynote has been cancelled. But according to this account from the Wall Street Journal, the Palin camp was fine with having O’Donnell speak:

Mr. Crow said his group’s co-founder Charlie Gruschow was approached Monday by someone — Mr. Crow didn’t know who — about having Ms. O’Donnell speak at Saturday’s “Restoring America” rally in Indianola, Iowa. Palin aides signed off on Ms. O’Donnell’s appearance, Mr. Crow said.

“I did run it past some folks on her side of the fence, and they said, ‘This is your event and you can put anybody up there you want,”‘ he said. Ms. Palin’s camp noted the former governor endorsed Ms. O’Donnell during her 2010 Senate run, Mr. Crow said.
