For Tim Pawlenty, there is no shame in running a campaign slow on polling momentum.
“My campaign is not a shooting star campaign,” Pawlenty told ABC News, pointing out the quick rise and fall in the polls of Donald Trump as a prospective candidate.
“I’m not doing this to get a cable TV show or some sort of gig down the road,” he said later on in the conversation. “I’m doing it because the country’s in trouble, and we need real leadership to solve the real problems and that’s what I offer.”
Speaking about a possible Rick Perry candidacy, Pawlenty said it would be “ all the buzz for a while” but that “over time these things settle.”
