Romney to Attend DeMint Forum

Mitt Romney has decided to attend Sen. Jim DeMint’s presidential candidates forum September 5, after all, reports Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin. “The Romney camp dismisses the suggestion that this is in response to Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s rise in the polls,” Rubin writes, but considering that a poll out today showed Rick Perry twenty points head of Romney in South Carolina, it’s hard to believe that didn’t play at least a tiny role in the decision to attend. 

Romney moved at Tea Party event to Sunday evening in New Hampshire to be able to make DeMint’s forum on Labor Day.
