Romney to Build 11,000 Sq. Foot Beach Home

Mitt Romney is asking permission to knock down his 3,000 sq. foot beach home in La Jolla, Calif., and replace it with an 11,000 sq. foot residence, reports the San Diego Union Tribune.

A Romney aide told the Wall Street Journal that the Romneys wanted enough room in the house to accommodate visits from their five sons and their families.  “Construction will not begin until the permits have been obtained and the campaign is finished,” the aide added.
