Huntsman Unruffled by Haley’s Decision to Not Endorse Him

Jon Huntsman told Univision in an interview he didn’t see Nikki Haley’s decision to rule him out for an endorsement as a problem for his chances in South Carolina.

“It’s not crucial at all,” Huntsman said of Haley’s decision. “I respect her, I think she’s a very good person; I’ve met her one time. The person who is one of the lead players in our campaign in South Carolina ran for Governor against her, just barely lost.”

Huntsman is referring to Henry McMaster, the state’s former attorney general who nabbed 17 percent to Haley’s 49 percent in the GOP gubernatorial primary last year. McMaster has endorsed Hunstman.
