If you thought Rick Perry was under fire a lot in the debate he’s participated in, it wasn’t your imagination.
According to an analysis by University of Minnesota blog Smart Politics (hat tip: Politico 2012), Perry has been criticized 39 times in the debates since he entered the race. Mitt Romney’s also come in for his share of shots, getting criticized 29 times. The next most-criticized candidate is Herman Cain, who has been targeted 9 times.
The top criticizers are Jon Huntsman (19 times), Rick Santorum (18), Romney (15), and Perry (14).
