The idea that the United States ought to wait for U.N. approval before intervening in Syria is absurd, Charles Krauthammer said Friday night.
Krauthammer, appearing during Special Report’s panel, blasted one of the president’s justifications for not intervening, which the commander in chief based on international law.
“Clearly, when the bluff is called, [Obama] has no intention of [intervening],” Krauthammer said. “So now the principle—you don’t gas people to death—disappears, he erases the red line, and he hides behind international law.”
