Donald Trump’s New Campaign Strategy: Take Down Megyn Kelly

Donald Trump touts himself as a tough guy par excellence. The Donald is the man who can face down Vladimir Putin or the Iranian mullahs or get the Mexican government to build a big wall along our southern border by the force of sheer braggadocio. No one messes with The Donald and gets away with it. Enemies will be punished.

Enemies like Fox News’s Megyn Kelly.

Trump is upset that Kelly confronted him over his past use of misogynistic language during the first GOP presidential debate. Kelly asked how he could lead the Republican party after calling women “fat pigs,” ”dogs,” ”slobs,” and “disgusting animals.”

Trump responded that ”only Rosie O’Donnell” came in for that kind of language.

The question must be asked: If The Donald is so miffed at his treatment at the hands of one debate moderator, how can he handle the grind and the combat of the campaign trail let alone the pressures of the presidency of the United States?

Regardless, it’s likely that this feud is a harbinger of America reaching Peak Trump: The Donald’s supporters will surely start abandoning ship after this embarrassment.
