NR Needs You Now More Than Ever

Kyle Smith
We’re defending sanity, but we depend on your support.

‘Now more than ever” is a cliché, but like most clichés, it’s useful. National Review needs you now more than ever, because no matter what the political situation in Washington may be at the moment, politics is downstream from culture. And the culture is in big trouble.

When the Boy Scouts are removing the “boy” part (and angering the Girl Scouts in the process), when engineers are being fired from Google for Wrongthink, when girls in pretty prom dresses are getting lambasted for cultural appropriation, we need to fight back, logically and eloquently and forcefully. You don’t have time to keep track of all the things that are going haywire in our culture, but at National Review, we have the writers and editors to call out the nonsense, to make the argument, in Chesterton’s words, “In Defense of Sanity.”

To do this we need resources, of course. To do this we need you. Our website is free. Our magazine costs about a buck an issue when you subscribe. To continue with our mission, we need donations. You can see what we’re up to every day: It’s crucial work, and it’s powered by your support, which you can give at this link.
