On Monday afternoon, Rich Lowry spoke with Senator Rick Scott (R., Fla.) on an exclusive, NRPLUS members-only conference call.

Rich began the call by asking the senator about his “11-Point Plan to Rescue America,” which focuses on making the country energy independent, protecting and promoting the nuclear family, reforming government, addressing our mounting debt, securing our borders, and more.

Scott then reflected on his time as governor of Florida, pointing to his experience in dealing with mass shootings (Pulse Nightclub and Parkland) and reviving economies.

The two finished the call with a discussion of the 2022 midterms and the GOP’s chances for taking back both the Senate and House. Scott shared why he is optimistic about several hotly contested Senate races, including those in Georgia, Nevada, and Washington. Speaking as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, he said voters will hold representatives accountable this fall for the current state of the country.

Thank you to those who joined us for the call, and we look forward to seeing you on the next one.
