Although it is only April, the year has been rather eventful. One uncomfortable fact remains true amid all the attention-grabbing headlines, chyrons, and notifications: The mainstream media refuse to conduct thorough investigations if such inquiries might arrive at conclusions that threaten the progressive agenda. Not only do important stories go undiscussed, but what does get printed in big-name outlets is heavily influenced by left-wing views.
But at National Review, we’ve continued exposing the harms of DEI and other policies favored by the progressive establishment. And we are asking for your support, as part of our spring webathon, to help continue doing this work.
This year alone, NR reported that not one but two agencies within Washington State are likely violating the 14th Amendment by considering race when awarding benefits. We also uncovered that multimillion-dollar organizations — like the Alzheimer’s Association — appear to be violating the Civil Rights Act by limiting eligibility for particular programs on the basis of race and national origin. And we investigated the questionable finances of Somali-owned daycares in Washington State, even after the state attorney general had warned that just visiting these businesses and asking questions could amount to a hate crime.
We’re focused on providing nuanced reporting that holds institutions accountable. But investigations require time, resources, and persistence — and that’s why National Review needs your support. If you believe that journalism should expose facts rather than curate them, then please consider donating. Thank you, so much, for your contributions and your readership.
