Manyin Li

Manyin Li is a naturalized U.S. citizen born in China. She worked for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York while studying literature and philosophy and getting a master's degree from the Graduate Center of the City University of NY. She is now retired and writes freelance, mostly for Chinese language newspapers and magazines published in North America. An English excerpt of her memoir, Bearing Witness: Coming of Age in Mao’s China, appeared in the issues of April, May and June of New English Review in 2020.
