There will now be fourteen vacancies on federal appellate courts for President Elect Donald Trump to fill after he is sworn in. On November 29, Judge Diana Murphy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit took senior status. Judge Murphy was a Clinton nominee and hails from Minnesota.
