Baton Rouge and New Orleans Events

On Friday, April 13, at lunchtime, I will speak to the Baton Rouge lawyers chapter of the Federalist Society on the topic of “President Trump and the Judicial-Confirmation Battles.” Copies of Scalia Speaks will also be available for purchase and signing. More info here.

On Saturday, April 14, at 9:00 a.m., I will be in New Orleans to take part in a panel discussion at the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers’ spring meeting. The topic of the panel is “The Influence of the Trump Presidency on the Judiciary: A Preliminary Assessment.” Beth Williams, head of DOJ’s Office of Legal Policy will make a presentation, and Kristen Clarke, head of the National Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and I will then engage in a conversation moderated by appellate lawyer Adam Charnes (of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton).
