Brian Hagedorn Appointed to Wisconsin Court of Appeals

While we are on the topic of presidential candidates and judicial appointments (see here, here, and here) I hope readers will join me in congratulating Brian Hagedorn on his appointment to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. From the press release:

Hagedorn currently serves as Chief Legal Counsel in the Office of the Governor, where his responsibilities include managing litigation, leading ethics and compliance operations, and providing legal advice on proposed legislation.  Hagedorn has also served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, as an attorney at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee, and as a law clerk at the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  He is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, where he was President of the Federalist Society.

Brian is a friend to many in the conservative legal movement, and those who know him best speak highly of his humility and thoughtfulness, his intelligence, and his commitment to the rule of law.  Congratulations to Brian on his appointment, and to Governor Walker on a great pick.
