I will be in Ohio for two Scalia Speaks events this week, as well as for (if the ominous weather cooperates) the Washington Nationals’ Opening Day game against the Reds in Cincinnati.

On Thursday, March 29, I’ll be in Columbus for a joint book event at lunchtime with Sixth Circuit judge Raymond Kethledge, co-author of Lead Yourself First: Inspiring Leadership Through Solitude.
I will then zip back to Cincinnati in time for the 4:00 ballgame.
Thursday, of course, is also Holy Thursday, so I plan to attend the Mass of the Lord’s Supper after the game. Incidentally, I’ll note that Opening Day makes a surprise appearance in a great Christian hymn, “O God, Our Help in Ages Past,” the fifth stanza of which reads:
Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away;
We fly forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.
To all of you baseball fans out there: I hope that your dream season doesn’t die on Opening Day.
