Democrats Delay Alito

After the Democrats’ performance at Alito’s hearing, it should come as no surprise that they aren’t living up to their end of the gentlemen’s agreement that was reached in early November. With their delay of the Senate Judiciary Committee vote from tomorrow until January 24, look for Senate floor debate to begin on January 25, with a final Senate vote on Alito’s confirmation no earlier than January 27 and as late as January 31 (the date of the President’s State of the Union address).
