In a letter today to Senators Leahy and Sessions, four disabilities groups—the American Association of People with Disabilities, the Epilepsy Foundation, the National Council on Independent Living, and the Judge David L. Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law—state that they oppose President Obama’s nomination of district judge Andre Davis to the Fourth Circuit. The stated basis of their opposition is Judge Davis’s record in disability employment discrimination cases in particular and on disability rights generally.
