Finally a Candidate Mentions the Supreme Court!

 . . . too bad he got his facts wrong.  

In last night’s debate, Vice President Biden said Justice Scalia would outlaw abortion. Ironically, at an event a mere 24 hours earlier, Justice Scalia had reiterated that, while he disagrees with Roe v. Wade as a matter of constitutional law, overruling that decision would simply return the question to the states for their citizens to decide it through the democratic process. The people could then choose to retain the status quo of abortion on demand, ban it outright, or allow it while imposing some of the commonsense limits on abortion that have frequently been blocked by courts.

 

Biden was right about one thing: The next president’s SCOTUS picks are something that voters cannot afford to ignore.
