This morning, the Senate Judiciary Committee was scheduled to hold its hearing on President Obama’s nomination of Rhode Island superior court judge O. Rogeriee Thompson to the First Circuit. I see that the ABA judicial-evaluations committee has given Thompson a very low rating, with the majority of the committee rating her “qualified” but with a minority rating her “not qualified.”
Thompson has been a judge for more than 20 years. It’s a safe bet that when the leftward ABA committee gives a Democratic nominee with so much judicial experience such a low rating, that nominee must be really, really bad.
