Georgetown Event on Protecting Kids from (Anti-)Social Media

Next Thursday, September 17—Constitution Day—I’ll be taking part in an event at Georgetown University titled “Social Media, Children, and the Constitution.” The event, the inaugural Fritz Digital Ethics Forum, is sponsored by Georgetown’s Center for Digital Ethics. Georgetown professor Meg Leta Jones, the Center’s founding faculty member, will moderate the panel discussion.

Registration for the event is, I gather, already full, but if you’re interested, sign up for the waiting list.

Over the next week, I hope to write some blog posts to help me work my way through the First Amendment issues that various legislative initiatives raise.

Ed Whelan holds the Antonin Scalia Chair in Constitutional Studies at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and is a regular contributor to National Review’s Bench Memos blog.
