My blogging will be very light next week, as I will have the pleasure of taking part in National Review’s post-election cruise. I hope that Bench Memos readers on the cruise will say hello.
The grim election results will of course lead to a much less hopeful mood on the cruise than a rosier scenario would have produced. But if my first NR cruise, in the aftermath of the somewhat comparable 2008 election, is any indication, I fully expect to enjoy the company of so many good folks from across the country as we reflect, with a mix of humor and sobriety, on how we can best preserve and advance American ideals for the generations to come.
