Green Bag Award

Last year, Mark A. Perry, Daniel J. Davis, Ryan P. Meyers, and Dustin K. Palmer, all of the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, submitted this amicus brief on behalf of the Ethics and Public Policy Center (the think tank I head) in the Supreme Court’s Ten Commandments case from Texas. I am pleased to report that the very diverse board of advisers of the Green Bag (which accurately describes itself as “an entertaining journal of law”) has honored this amicus brief with its award for Exemplary Legal Writing for 2005. This EPPC brief was one of only two briefs to receive this award. My thanks and congratulations to Mark Perry and his Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher team (who, I should point out, provided their outstanding services pro bono).
