Hello, pot? The kettle’s on line one. Hillary Clinton is claiming that it “dishonor[s] our Constitution” for the Senate to wait until after the election to fill Scalia’s seat, and that “[t]he Senate has a constitutional responsibility” to push forward.
Really? The same Hillary Clinton who voted to block Miguel Estrada’s nomination to the D.C. Circuit in 2003 by preventing him from ever getting an up-or-down vote in the Senate?
The same Hillary Clinton who said that she was blocking it because the Senate’s responsibility to “advise and consent” was an “important judgment” “charged under the Constitution?”
The same Hillary Clinton who joined the filibuster against Estrada that had begun because, in the words of her colleague Dick Durbin, he was “especially dangerous” because “he is Latino”?
Oh, right, that Hillary Clinton.
