Bench Memos

Mark R. Kravitz, R.I.P.

I’m very sorry to learn of the death of Mark R. Kravitz, a federal district judge in Connecticut, at the age of 62. Judge Kravitz, who was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush, in 2003, had been suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease.

I had the pleasure of working with Judge Kravitz on some telecom litigation back in the late 1990s, when he was still in private practice, and I heartily concur in the high praise that he earned for his character and ability.
