More Judges Stalled

The Senate Judiciary Committee was supposed to approve five district court nominees last Thursday, but no dice.  Because Senator Jon Kyl objected to committee subpoenas of confidential memoranda from the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy postponed consideration of the judges.  As the National Law Journal reports, this makes it very unlikely these judges will be confirmed this year.
