Que?

Senator Ken Salazar (D., Col.) says today that the filibuster is an open question on Alito because, in part, of the judge’s 1985 job application opposition to quotas. But doesn’t Senator Salazar oppose quotas, too?

Consider:

”I’m opposed to quotas,” Salazar said.

Salazar does say he’s opposed to quotas – which is fortunate, since they’re clearly unconstitutional. But, he continues, ”my own sense is that numerical goals are OK, so long as they are just that and not set in concrete.”
