Re: Just Another Day at the Supreme Court

As I mentioned at the outset of the Supreme Court’s term (in point 2 here), notorious Ninth Circuit judge Stephen Reinhardt had seven cases pending before the Court in which he either wrote the majority opinion or was part of the majority. In the wake of the Court’s two rulings last week unanimously reversing opinions authored by Reinhardt, the Court today issued a unanimous summary reversal of yet another Reinhardt ruling. (Today’s case was not among the seven in which the Court previously granted review; what summary reversal means is that the Court, in a single action, granted review and, seeing no need for oral argument, reversed the ruling.)
