I don’t know.
Cornyn is a good guy. But the fact he was one of the few senators supporting the president on Miers may argue against him. President looks like he is rewarding a friend again. And from Texas again, to boot.
And, of course, he also says whenever asked that he hasn’t been talked to, which seems reason enough to think it’s not him.
