Stuart Taylor on Alito vs. Ginsburg

The sensible (and deeply intelligent) liberal Stuart Taylor has an outstanding new column (not yet available online, from what I can tell) that succinctly and accurately summarizes the charges of Alito’s critics: “Bosh, blatherskite, and flapdoodle.” Consistent with my essay yesterday, Taylor explains in detail how Alito’s “now-famous 1985 application, considered together with his 300 closely reasoned judicial opinions over the past 15 years, places him much closer to the center of American public opinion than his critics are”–and than Ruth Bader Ginsburg is.
