Law & the Courts

UVA Event

I will be at the University of Virginia law school tomorrow (Oct. 27) to take part in a lunchtime event titled “Inside the Judicial Confirmation Process.” Sixth Circuit judge Chad Readler and I will discuss his confirmation experience, and I will place it in the broader context of the decades-long transformation of judicial-confirmation battles.

The event is sponsored by the law school’s Federalist Society chapter.

Ed Whelan holds the Antonin Scalia Chair in Constitutional Studies at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and is a regular contributor to National Review’s Bench Memos blog.
